The Rundown: As the young mutants continue to live and train, Gambit has some unfinished business to attend to.

After a tough training session, Rogue feels guilt about pushing the young mutants further than they imagined. As Rogue watches his wife deal with her feelings, he shows her that the kids have done something remarkable with the lessons she’s given them and it might be the push they need to become heroes.
At the same time, Remy receives a note from someone from his past. Someone he owes a debt to and is ready to collect. Gambit thinks back on his past before making the decision to confront his past head on and alone.
The Story: Simone crafts a wonderful story for Remy Lebeau in this issue. The story adds another layer to the enigmatic character and gives the reader a new look at him and his world. There is great determination in the character and the story has some great moments for all the characters. I really loved the pacing of this story and how it builds on Remy’s personality and shows different aspects of him and his relationship with the people around him. A great standalone story with a satisfying conclusion that I truly enjoyed.
The Art: Guidry creates some beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the character designs and how the art pulls out the emotion of the characters in a story that is focused on them as people.
